Commissioning Service & Off We Go!

God gave us a great commissioning service of praise and reflection for the great things He has done during the past year in the lives of the 46 students and teachers who are heading out this Easter. Rev. Hine shared a great challenge to the teams to be sure to minister focussed on God ("dog theology") rather than on self ("cat theology"). A number of other students and teachers shared testimonies and lifted up the teams in prayer. Dr. Stiegel further challenged the teams that "this is not a test--this is the real thing!" A great time of corporate prayer and praise and a great send off.

After some hugs and a few tearful goodbyes (mostly parents--the kids were fine), we were off to JFK airport. A quick "detour" through scenic Brooklyn, and we arrived ready to go.

Hi,Team! Congratultions on your arrival. (Faith - God has gotten you this far! Isn't He good?) We are praying for you as you jump into ministry this weekend. Remember that the power and strength of our Risen Lord is at work within you! May he bless you to touch others and grow you to know him more.
